MZEROA.COM

LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PROJECT BRIEF

MzeroA.com is an aviation education company that prepares student pilots to take their written tests. They offer video based training so that students can learn on the go.

Their customer base had grown large enough that the website they had was outdated and not efficient. The new platform was designed from scratch.

MzeroA.com has two main products: Remote Pilot 101, for unmanned aviation, and Ground School Academy, for manned aviation. At the time of this project, they were hosted on two separate websites. One of the many goals of the new Learning Management System, was to combine them onto one website.

MzeroA.com's new Learning Management
System has an inner shell for members and an outer shell for prospective customers.

The outer shell contains pages about the company and staff, the company store, and the sales pages for the company products.

USER JOURNEY

INITIAL DESIGN

I sketched out initial designs on paper with illustration markers.

My idea was that a customer would land on this page and then choose their product. "Drones" would direct the customer to the unmanned aviation pages. "Airplanes" would direct customers to the manned aviation pages.

This design features the MzeroA.com color palette and their signature triangle pixel pattern.

HIGHLIGHTS

Perceptual Learning Module is a game designed to to get the user to identify what flight condition they are in quickly. I helped to create the graphics for this game.

Learning Badges are rewards given to our learners as they achieve goals throughout their education with MzeroA. I designed the wire frames, conditions in which badges are earned, and illustrated every badge that learners can earn.

Watch me play the Perceptual Learning Module! Each answer earns me points. I get bonus points for speed. Wrong answers earn zero points. The more I get correct, the less time that I have to see the guages before having to answer.

The user's "Profile Overview" houses their badges. Earned badges appear in full color. Badges that have not been started are totally black. In-progress badges are partially greyed out until the user completes the requirement.
